Born in Lisbon and raised in Johannesburg, Eddie Fernandes co-founded Riverside International Church in Cascais, Portugal, where he and his wife continue to serve as senior pastors since 1996. Happily married to Marta Isabel since 1989, the couple have three daughters, married to fine men of Godly character, all serving in the Riverside Federation of Churches (in Cascais, Lisbon, Porto, and Albufeira). They are also blessed with eight grandchildren. Eddie holds degrees from four Christian Colleges/Universities in Portugal, South Africa, and the USA. He is a pastor, a mentor of leaders, an author, a chaplain, an evangelist, and a Global preacher. His purpose is to love and serve Christ in his generation. His passion has been to Equip the Body of Christ as a senior pastor for over 35 years and to Extend God’s Kingdom on earth as a full-time preacher/teacher in some 70+ countries over four decades.
